SICILY. Syracuse. Pyrrhos, 278-276 BC. Oktobol (Silver, 20 mm, 5.20 g, 2 h). Head of Persephone to left, wearing wreath of grain leaves and pendant earrings. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΠΥΡΡΟΥ Athena Alkidemos advancing left, brandishing spear with her right hand and holding shield aloft in her left. SNG ANS 828-829. SNG Copenhagen 93-94. Beautifully toned. Somewhat porous, otherwise, good very fine.
